Session Atmosphere
During an in-person Reiki session, you’ll lie fully clothed on a comfortable massage table in a tranquil setting, complete with dim lighting and soothing music. We’ll begin with a brief check-in, allowing you to share any intentions or concerns to help shape the session to your needs. A Reiki session can last between 45-60 minutes.
Reiki is a gentle, touch-based therapy, where my hands make light contact or hover just above different areas of your body. For those who prefer it, a hands-off approach can be equally effective, as Reiki energy flows to where it’s needed most.
The experience of Reiki varies widely: some people feel waves of warmth or tingling, while others may experience memories, emotions, or even see colors behind their closed eyes. Most, however, report a profound sense of relaxation and stress relief, as if layers of tension have simply melted away by the end. Many also describe a softening in areas they hadn’t realized were holding tightness, leaving them feeling lighter and more at ease.
Distance Reiki offers flexibility and comfort, allowing you to receive a session wherever you feel most at ease. Sessions can be conducted via phone, Zoom, or at a set appointment time without live communication, based on your preference. Before we begin, we’ll have a brief check-in—either with video on Zoom or by phone—to discuss your intentions, answer questions, and help you get settled. You can choose to lie down, relax, and even play soothing music on your end if that feels right. Some people like hearing gentle sounds played from my location, while others prefer their own playlist. Throughout the experience, many clients report feeling just as calm, supported, and “connected” as they do in-person, describing a sense of subtle warmth or calm that unfolds no matter the distance. After the session, we’ll reconnect to discuss any feelings or insights that may have arisen, ensuring you walk away feeling grounded and clear-minded.

The number of sessions varies based on your unique needs and goals. For specific concerns, an initial series of three to five sessions, spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart, can help establish a foundation. Many individuals find that making Reiki an ongoing part of their self-care routine helps maintain balance, reduce stress, and support overall wellness. As sessions build over time, it’s common to feel increasingly centered, clear-minded, and more resilient when facing life’s challenges.
What to Wear
Comfort is Key
Wear loose, comfortable clothing to allow full relaxation. You’ll remain fully clothed during the session.
Bringing or wearing socks can add extra comfort, as some people notice shifts in body temperature.
Feeling cozy and at ease often enhances the overall experience and allows for a smoother energetic flow.

Reiki is a gentle touch therapy. My hands will rest lightly on or just above different areas of your body, though I’m happy to use a hands-off approach if you prefer.
