Back in May, I had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Sue Sutton on Pirate Radio 93.5 FM to share more about my work as a Reiki Master Teacher and the heart behind 2 Moons Energy.

The conversation was lighthearted and full of good energy and it gave me the chance to answer a question I hear often:

What is Reiki?

I like to say the complicated answer is quantum physics because Reiki works with energy, and everything is energy, including us. It’s about shifting and rebalancing that energy, like fine-tuning a radio station so it comes in clear and strong.

The simple answer?

Reiki is deep relaxation therapy. It helps relieve stress, tension, and anxiety—loosening the emotional knots we carry and allowing the body to reset, release, and restore its natural healing rhythm.

Whether you’re navigating a tough transition or simply looking to reconnect with yourself, Reiki offers a calm, supportive space to do just that.

Supporting Breast Cancer Patients Through Reiki

I’m deeply honored to share that I am now an official provider with Hope Lives!, a Northern Colorado nonprofit that supports women diagnosed with breast cancer through integrative and complementary wellness services.

As a Reiki Master Teacher, I offer heart-centered energy healing to promote peace, relaxation, and emotional balance, especially during the challenges of cancer care.
Reiki has been shown to support short-term relief from symptoms such as pain, fatigue, anxiety, and emotional stress. It also provides a much-needed space for patients to rest, reconnect, and receive compassionate support—no matter where they are on their healing journey.

As part of this partnership, I offer Reiki Energy Healing Sessions to Hope Lives! clients in my serene healing space, with optional Distance Reiki if in-person visits aren’t possible.

As beings made mostly of water, we’re naturally attuned to the moon’s rhythm, just like the ocean’s tides. The full moon tends to stir the emotional waters, bringing what’s hidden to the surface. The new moon invites stillness, reflection, and the planting of new intentions. Each phase offers a unique invitation for our bodies, minds, and spirits to recalibrate.

In my Reiki practice, I often notice how the moon’s energy amplifies what’s already stirring beneath the surface. Around the full moon, clients may experience powerful emotional releases, breakthroughs, or clarity. Near the new moon, there’s a collective exhale—a return inward, where deep healing and intention-setting naturally unfold.

I always tune into the moon’s current phase before a session. Sometimes I incorporate gentle rituals such as guided meditation, intention-setting, or grounding visualizations to align with the lunar energy and help you reconnect with your own natural cycles.
